Welcome to my home on the Internet….MyMovetothePhilippines.com. My name is David, and this is my story about the transition to the Philippines from the USA. My motivation for writing this is for one reason, and one reason only..because I see a lot of expats that come here, and frankly, are an embarrassment. That’s harsh, I know. But my goal is to help others making the transition to know there is a right way, and a wrong way to do this.

My Thoughts
I started this blog at the encouragement of my wife. She has seen the difference that time and a different attitude have had on me and my being here. Looking back, I was not “ready” to be here because I was too wrapped up in my own expectations of how things should be, and when you throw the stresses of the job I had at the time, it was not a recipe for success. I’ve learned a few things since then, and it is my goal to help you learn from my mistakes, and my successes.
